The CITES department of the Federal Public Service for Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment started an investigation, following a tip-off given by Greenpeace, into two consignments of Afrormosia (or African teak) amounting to a total of 40 m³ from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Help limit the impact of cleaning products on the environment! Doing the laundry, washing the dishes, cleaning the floor and other surfaces... good hygiene is unthinkable without detergents. But these products are not without consequence for the environment: you use water and energy, the detergents influence the quality of the surface water and the waste produced has to be disposed of somewhere.

Public consultation: the use of a genetically modified medicine against heart failure in a clinical trial
The FPS Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment and the Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products wish to inform you of a clinical trial with the genetically modified medicine MYDICAR® from the company Celladon, intended to combat heart failure. The public consultation on this trial will take place from 19 October to 18 November 2012 inclusive.
