Dentists
The Health FPS is responsible for the various administrative aspects related to the profession of Dentist. The FPS is the preferred contact body for matters with regard to:
- the administration of the Dentistry Council
- the secretariat of the Recognition Commission and the Provincial Medical Committees
- the administrative follow-up of traineeships, in cooperation with the National Service for Health and Disability Insurance (RIZIV/INAMI)
- maintaining the recognition as Dentist
- the recognition as traineeship supervisor, traineeship service and traineeship location
- the professional recognition of foreign diplomas.
At the level of the health professions, the FPS also deals with:
- the development of annual statistics on Dentists
- the procedure for the legalisation of medical certificates

Issuing of certificates for the services provided and the accreditation of Dentists falls under the competence of the RIZIV/INAMI (www.inami.fgov.be).
