On October 20th, our FPS will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the EU Ecolabel in the Galilee building. Created in 1992, the official European Union Ecolabel plays a key role in the development of sustainable production and consumption, offering European consumers a guarantee of quality and environmentally friendly products.

The EU Ecolabel is currently used on more than 89,000 products and services. The current number of EU Ecolabel awarded products is the highest ever registered, and reflects the growing interest of companies, citizens and retailers in green and sustainable products. It can be found on a wide variety of products and services such as detergents, paper, shoes, soap and shower gels or even hotels. Paints and varnishes, tissue paper, textiles and hard coverings, are the categories with the most EU Ecolabel awarded products. More info on: Ecolabel | The European Ecolabel

To celebrate its 30th anniversary and to thank the companies that have chosen the European Ecolabel for sustainable production, the Federal Public Service Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment will bring together the Federal Minister for the Environment Zakia Khattabi, authorities from the European Commission, as well as a panel of experts and actors involved in the EU Ecolabel to present the current and future perspectives of the flower-shaped label.
