If you do not agree with the decision of the Civilian Victims of War and Victims of Terrorism Unit, you may appeal to this unit. The Unit may then ask us to call you for a new medical examination.
This new medical exam will not be carried out by the medical expert of the Medex medical centre in your region but by a medical appeal chamber.
The case in appeal proceeds in the same way as at first instance.
The English-speaking appeal chambers are established in the medical centre of Ghent.
