The most recent studies, such as the one by IPBES (the IPCC on biodiversity), demonstrate this. Businesses and consumers have a role to play in the sustainable use of the resources and services provided by biodiversity.

Every citizen is also a consumer and can therefore actively help protect biodiversity, for example, by consuming less meat and demanding more environmentally-friendly products and services.

Businesses use the raw materials from biodiversity in their manufacturing processes. Various actions can be implemented right at the heart of businesses, in order to produce in a more biodiversity-friendly way.

By acting simultaneously on supply and demand, new markets can emerge. What will they be?

The #BeBiodiversity campaign is organised by the FPS Public Health. Its aim is simple: Encourage citizens and businesses to take action to combat the loss of biodiversity.
