Isabelle Delannoy
A trained agricultural engineer, Isabelle Delannoy is a sustainable development specialist and is one of the promoters of the symbiotic economy, namely an economy that allows humans and ecosystems to live in harmony. In 2012, she founded Do Green in order to promote her ideas. She is also the joint screenwriter of the film Home, by Yann Arthus – Bertrand.
Manu Vollens
An innovative entrepreneur, Manu Vollens likes to define himself as a "designer of opportunities". He is particularly involved in the development of new business models, co-creation and innovation consultancy. At the head of "Kill the Dinosaur" since 2015, he offers enterprises consultancy services on how to define new opportunities and act and think in the same way as start-ups.
Derk Loorbach
Director of DRIFT (Dutch Research Institute for Transition), a research insitute on sustainable transitions. Derk Loorbach also teaches socio-economic transitions at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. One of the founders of the transition management approach, he has supported many transition procedures in the world of government, entreprise, civil society and the scientific world.

Luc Schuiten
A visionary architect, Luc Schuiten has a passion for vast ecosystems, such as primary forests and coral reefs, from which he draws inspiration in order to create new forms of housing. His memorable projects and/or realisations include the vertical gardens in Brussels, an urban eyesore renovation project, and the Orejona house, an energy self-sufficient ecological house. He is also fascinated by archiborescence, a neologism which refers to architecture that uses all forms of living materials as building materials and which uses trees as its model.
Guillaume Pitron
An independent journalist who works with several leading newspapers, including Le Monde diplomatique, and also a film director, Guillaume Pitron specialises in raw materials and rare materials and focuses on deciphering their importance in economic, political and environmental issues. Recently, he wrote "La guerre des métaux rares – La face cachée de la transition énergétique et numérique" published by Les liens qui libèrent. The result of six years of work in various countries, this book takes a look at the dark side of energy transition and the paradoxical damage that this can cause on the environment and health. Guillaume Pitron has also won several prizes and awards, including the Erik Izraelewicz Prize for economic journalism, created by the newspaper Le Monde and the Grand Prix BFM Business / Montpensier for books on economics.
Bernard Mazijn
Involved in multidisciplinary research on the theme of sustainable development, Bernard Mazijn is one of the founders of the Centre for Sustainable Development at Ghent University. He is also involved in preparing and evaluating sustainable development policies at different levels (regional, federal, international). He is also one of the pioneers of the methodology of analysing life cycles on the basis of environmental aspects. Currently, he is the Director of Development for the Sustainable Development Institute, an association with its head office in Bruges. Recently, he also became an associate researcher at UNU-CRIS (United Nations University- Institute for Comparative Regional Integration Studies.

Giovanni De Santi
Since 1985, Giovanni De Santi has been an active member of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), where he manages several projects in the fields of energy, transport and environment, among other things. In January 2011, he was appointed to the head of the Institute for Energy and Transport, where he manages issues involving these subjects in the frame of international cooperation between Europe and key players from third countries in the sectors of research and industry. Since September 2017, M. De Santi has been the Director of the European Commission's "Sustainable Resources" Directorate.
Raphaël Guastavi
Following a master's degree in cell biology and physiology supplemented by a specialisation in environment, development and agricultural development, Raphaël Guastavi joined ADEME in 2000. Since 2013, he has been the deputy head of the waste mobilisation and recovery department. It supports public policies in the planning and management of their waste.
Rachel Lombardi
Rachel has been involved in sustainability and business issues for more than two decades, largely from an industrial ecology (or systems) perspective, with experience spanning both academia (Yale University, USA and University of Birmingham, UK) and business (IBM, McKinsey & Co., and International Synergies Ltd.).
As Director of Business Development for International Synergies Limited, she works internationally with practitioners and policy makers through participation in regional and international workshops, workshop and conference organisation and facilitation, bespoke training, traditional academic journals and conferences, and course development at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
Audrie Van Veen
Audrie van Veen is expert in the field of Europe, innovation and regional development. is International Strategy Advisor at the Amsterdam Economic Board, a non-profit foundation which addresses metropolitan challenges and is funded by regional government, the business sector and knowledge institutes in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Next to that, she makes European politics more accessible for a larger audience by blogging at The Europeanologist.
Before, she started her own consultancy for science popularization and worked as National Contact Point for European research funding at the Dutch government. She also worked as lobbyist for the Dutch technological industries on innovation, and as advisor in innovation communication at Total Identity, where she was involved in the project ‘Chemie is overal’ (‘Chemistry is everywhere’) for the Association of the Dutch Chemical Industry (VNCI).
For the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs she worked at the Embassy in Paris as diplomatic Attaché for Science & Technology. As innovation trend watcher in France she described interesting developments for various Dutch stakeholders (policy, science and business). Another task was improving the French-Dutch relations in science and technology. She was also actively following the then brand new French cluster development policy (Pôles the Compétitivité).
Audrie is Master of Science in Science & Policy Studies (cum laude) at Utrecht University. Her thesis was about Science Popularisation.
Benoît Derenne
Benoît founded the Foundation for Future Generations in 1998, the Belgian public benefit foundation dedicated exclusively to transforming our society into a sustainable development mode.
As a transformative philanthropic platform, it allows its many partners and donors to invest 360°-wise in future generations, through a "4 P's" approach, altogether good for the well-being of all (People), the environment (Planet), a thriving economy (Prosperity), and with Participatory governance as a common thread, today and tomorrow. Having been active in promoting deliberative democracy since 2001, the Foundation adopted the G1000 in 2011, a major citizen's initiative to oxygenate democracy.
Benoît was formerly researcher at the Institute of Economic and Social Research (UCLouvain) then head of the Environment Fund and the Young Entrepreneurs Fund of the King Baudouin Foundation. Historian by training, he specialized in Development Economics.
Michel de Kemmeter
Entrepreneur and real estate investor, Michel de Kemmeter has been actively reflecting on personal development, intangible assets and sustainable human development since 2005. In particular, he has worked on collaborative business models that offer material and immaterial resources to solve complex and multiple challenges. His book "Shifting economy" is an ideal "toolbox" for managing transition issues.
Luc de Brabandere
Passionate about mathematics and computer science, but also philosophy and ecology, Luc de Brabandere has been reflecting on creativity for many years. How can we change our thinking? How to bring out innovative ideas? How to change the perception of problems, vary the looks, the points of view? These are some of the philosophical quests he pursues through books such as Pensée magique, pensée logique (Le Pommier, 2008), Homo Informatix (Le Pommier, 2017) and Des valeurs pour l'entreprise (to be published).

Olivier Chaput - Facilitator and mission coordinator
Olivier is a trained biological engineer who specialises in collaborative intelligence. After two years working on the creation and management of innovative social projects, he spent three years with Exposantd on the development of a network devoted to sustainable sanitation. He has also organised several training courses and facilitated many several hour events over a number of days for groups of 5-6 people and groups of several hundred participants.
