Suzanne Askenasi is the author and developer of the Meditation Course. She works at the unit for depressive, anxiety and psychosomatic disorders at the Erasmus Hospital.

On 22/03, she participated in the breakoutsession on Climate change. The subject of her presentation was The Meditation Course: a tool for stress management, well-being, personal development and peace of mind in relationships.

Meditative practices are part of the non-medicinal treatment of depressive, anxiety and psychosomatic disorders at the Erasmus Hospital. They are used to manage stress and emotions and to develop a better relationship with oneself, others and the environment.
Contact with nature is also part of the therapeutic activities and is an effective way of calming these disorders.
The Meditative Course, the first of its kind in a green space, is a Vita-type health course based on meditation practices. Created by Bruxelles Environnement in the Vogelzang park, where meditation areas have been specially set up for this purpose, the Meditation Trail is intended to be reproduced in order to promote the dissemination of this tool for stress management, well-being, personal development and relationship calming. The meditation tools have been designed to be used independently, wherever one wishes, thanks to the audio recordings, texts and didactic drawings, available free of charge in French and Dutch on the Brussels Environment website.
