Following the adoption of the transversal and general law of 6 November 2022 on the improvement of indoor air quality in closed places accessible the public, the FPS Public Health has updated its FAQ on indoor air quality to answer all your questions on this subject, and more specifically on the newly adopted measures.

This law came into force on December 11, 2022, and provides an ambitious framework for indoor air quality. It is an important tool to ensure the protection of public health and protect us from future pandemics with respiratory symptoms!

Several measures contribute to effective ventilation and air purification, which reduce the risk of contaminant transmission via aerosols. This law establishes the global framework that will be further developed through royal decrees. Their drafting is ongoing.
