
Alcohol (ethanol) in food supplements (and other preparations with an effect on health) consumed by young people: consideration of risk thresholds
Alcohol may indeed be an ingredient in certain "health" products consumed by adolescents and children. Questioned by the DG Animal, Plant and Food of the FPS Public Health, Safety of the Food Chain and Environment on the specific case of products classified as "food supplements", the Superior Health Council addressed the presence of alcohol in preparations "with an effect on health" and its potential impact on young consumers in its report No. 9702.
