You must submit your application to the Civilian Victims of War and Terrorism Unit of the Federal Pensions Service (SFPD). The Civilian Victims of War and Terrorism Unit processes your application and assesses whether it meets the administrative conditions for claiming a reparation pension.

If so, the Federal Pensions Service (SFPD) will ask the Forensic Department (OML/GGD) to examine you and provide a reasoned medical opinion.

Therefore, not all applications are forwarded to the OML/GGD and you may not apply for an opinion from the OML/GGD by yourself. As soon as the OML/GGD receives the examination request, it will inform you by mail.

After conducting the medical examination, the OML/GGD sends a reasoned medical opinion to the SFPD. The decision whether or not to award a reparation pension is based in part on this opinion.
