Belgian COVID-19 testing strategy in the context of viral respiratory infections prevention in all circumstances (pandemic, epidemic, endemic) for healthcare activities, nursing homes and long term care facilities

Please note that this document cannot be considered as a classic advisory report from the Superior Health Council. It is the result of an "Open Consultation", which only engages the responsibility of the signatories of the document who have approved it by consensus and by email.  Such a consultation is set up between the CSS, the Sciensano experts, the Risk Assessment Group (RAG) experts and the Strategic Scientific Committee (SSC) experts in order to ensure an optimal coordination of the Belgian recommendations to Authorities and professionals in the field. A broader advisory opinion (SHC 9749 : Comprehensive management of COVID-19 patients in health care institutions and common standard procedures for the prevention of severe acute respiratory infections - SARI) is in progress and will include the main recommendations of this urgent document.
